Rising Concerns Among Lawmakers Over Scientists’ Deaths and Disappearances“Something is amiss,” warned Florida Representative Anna Paulina Luna to her followers on X.“Who killed the scientists?” inquired South Carolina Representative Nancy Mace.An increasing number of Republican lawmakers are raising alarms about the 12 U.S. scientists who have either died or gone missing since 2022, all of whom seem to have connections to nuclear or space programs, and, in some instances, classified projects.Luna’s post further stated,
“If you feel uneasy about the number of scientists who have disappeared, died, and the recent suicides related to these individuals, your intuition is correct.”While suspects have been identified in a few cases, the enigma surrounding the unknown has sparked conspiracy theories as investigators attempt to link them. Both Congress and the FBI have initiated inquiries, yet little information has been disclosed regarding potential connections among the cases.Members of the House Oversight Committee are now examining ten of these cases, reaching out to the FBI, Pentagon, and Department of Energy this week to express their concerns that “these deaths and disappearances may pose a significant threat to U.S. national security and personnel with access to scientific knowledge.”House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer shared with Fox & Friends, “We know there are numerous countries worldwide eager to acquire our knowledge and nuclear capabilities. These individuals were at the forefront, and now they’re either deceased or missing.
”The speculation intensified on Thursday following the death of renowned UFO researcher David Wilcock, who died by suicide on April 20, as confirmed by the Boulder County Coroner's Office. Wilcock’s passing raises the total number of mysterious cases to twelve. While police have ruled out foul play in some instances and NASA has stated there is no evidence of a security threat, families have rejected conspiracy theories regarding their loved ones. Former President Donald Trump remarked that “hopefully” it is all just a “coincidence.”
